Gala Yuzawa Was Worth Getting Lost For

My sister and I went to Japan for her first international trip. Our visit to Gala Yuzawa was supposed to be a simple snow day, but the train journey became unnecessarily confusing, and we got lost along the way. Thankfully, several kind Japanese strangers helped us figure out where to go. We eventually reached Gala Yuzawa - slightly late, very relieved, and much less confident in our navigation skills. The snow was beautiful, but the chaotic journey became the story we still laugh about. My advice: Japan’s trains are efficient. You might not be. Screenshot your route and leave extra time.
